The Rock/WWE Update, WWE Releases Superstar, Smackdown! Rating, Raw Rating, ECW Rating, Jeff Hardy Update, TNA Star Leaves, Upcoming Raw Guest Host, WWE Roster Cuts, Royal Rumble Participants
- In multiple recent interviews the Rock has stated his is open and wants to make a return to WWE to "do something special", and not for just one night. The Rock was set to guest host Raw on January 11, 2010, however he had to go to Mexico to promote his movie Tooth Fairy. In an interview with the Toronto Sun he says we can look for his return to happen in the summer of 2010.

- The December 25, 2009 edition of Friday Night Smackdown! drew a 1.8 broadcast rating.
- The January 18, 2010 edition of Monday Night Raw drew a 3.6 cable rating.
- The January 19, 2010 edition of ECW drew a .9 cable rating.
-The Wrestling Observer is reporting that there are conflicting reports regarding Jeff Hardy. Sources inside TNA are saying Hardy has signed a TNA contract, however Hardy is telling people he has not signed with TNA. WWE is still interested in Hardy, however Hardy did not like how WWE was having CM Punk talk about him after he left. It is possible that Hardy appeared on January 4, 2010 on iMPACT to "send a message" to WWE.
- TNA Knockout Awsome Kong has handed in her notice to TNA and will be leaving imminently. WWE was interested in Kong in the past, and it possible they try to sign her.
- NASCAR racer Carl Edwards will guest host Monday Night Raw on February 8, 2010.
- The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE will be releasing more wrestlers in the coming weeks.
