Announced last night on Monday Night Raw was the WrestleMania match between Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler. We’re all looking forward to the biggest WWE pay-per-view of the year, and now, the two best WWE announcers are scheduled for a match at WrestleMania. This amazing matchup is Michael Cole going head-to-head with Jerry "The King" Lawler. Last night on Monday Night Raw, Cole came out to the ring, and he eventually challenged Jerry Lawler to a match at WrestleMania XXVII under two conditions. These two conditions were that his personal wrestling trainer for this match could be at ringside, and that he can choose a special guest referee for the match.
Michael Cole revealed that his personal wrestling trainer is the "All American American" Jack Swagger. It was obvious why Michael Cole would pick someone like Jack Swagger as his trainer. WWE really pushed Jack Swagger by giving him a world championship last year. Then, they took the championship away from him. They are both huge crowd heels, and I think the build-up leading up to the match should be awesome.
As for the actual match part of this feud between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler, I predict that it will turn out to be a mid-card match. They both cannot take many bumps in the ring or any major falls, so this will not be an extreme match. Jerry Lawler used to be a great professional wrestler, but he has retired and is now on the commentary. Michael Cole was never a wrestler, and is strictly an announcer. So far, the build up behind the match has been pretty good, and should grow as WrestleMania becomes closer. As for who picks up the victory in the match, I predict that Jerry "The King" Lawler will overcome Michael Cole. It would be great to see a WWE Hall of Famer win a match at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.
