Smackdown Live at MSG Live Report

The first match we had was Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston. this match was set to be for the title, but Dolph announced that he doesn't have ot defend his title for 30 days, so this wouldn't be a championship match.  Pretty much a dead giveaway they were going to put Kofi over.  And they did just that, it was actually a pretty good match, ending with Kofi Kingston defeating Ziggler.

Next we had Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Tag Titles against Chris Masters and MVP.  Another good match, not amazing, but not bad at all.  Rhodes and McIntyre retained their titles.

Then Alberto Del Rio came out and drew a ton of heat talking about how Madison Square Garden is a dump.  His oppenent was Chavo Guerrero, who came out with his iPhone.  I though it would have something to do with the match, but he just had Tony Chimel hold onto it and got it on his way to the back when the match ended.  Alberto defeated Chavo in a pretty good match, which Chavo carried 100%.

Next was LayCool vs. Kelly Kelly and Melina.  It was entertaining, obviously it wasn't a top notch match, but Hornswoggle came out and made it a fun segment.  Kelly and Melina defeated LayCool and after the match Hornswoggle gave McCool a Stone Cole Stunner.

Next was Jack Swagger vs. Mark Henry.  It was an alright match, which Henry won clean, so it's not official WWE is done with Swagger.

Next we had the Bret Hart Appreciation Ceremony.  It was a nice little ceremony.  Howard Finkel, Jerry Lawler, and the Hart Dynasty were all there and they gave Bret a few framed pictures and the a Ranger's jersey with "The Hitman" on the back (number 10 for the year he returned to MSG and his WrestleMania 10 win at the Garden.)  Nexus interuppted towards the end and the Six on Six Tag match began.

The match was amazing to watch.  Bret made Justin Gabriel tap out to the Sharpshooter to end it and then after the match ended and Nexus tried to attack the Harts, they fought back and Bret out Heath Slater in a Sharpshooter.  Bret actually surpised me with his wrestling, I think he did better than he did at WrestleMania XXVI, but then again he was against a wrestler, not Vince McMahon.

The second to last match was CM Punk vs. The Big Show, which Big Show won clean with a KO punch.  It was a good match, pretty much like the one the had at Night of Champions.

The main event was Undertaker vs. Kane in a New York Street Fight for the World Heavyweight Championship.  Kane won clean with a chokeslam, but after he hit Taker with a low blow, so maybe not-so-clean after all.  After the match Taker chokeslammed Kane and the show ended there.

It was a good show, overall, and I posted pictures at this link.
