I do not remember the last time a story about wrestling was accuratly covered by a "real" news website. No, I am not saying that wrestling sites are not real news, but sites like SI.com, or TMZ.com, or CNN.com are much more oriented on sports like baseball and football, not wrestling. And when they do cover wrestling, the article are always just really, really bad.
Today India-Server.com posted what has to be the least researched, horribly done article in the history of their website. They posted an article in which they stated the "General Manager of WWE" announced that the Undertaker who "joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002" was found, injured, in a critical state. They also note that "no official statement has been issued by the wrestler's family or the World Wrestling Entertainment".
I don't even think they made an effort to get any part of this article remotely correct.
First, Teddy Long is the Smackdown! GM, thats not such a bad mistake, if that was the only one, people would let it slide.
Second, the Undertaker joined WWE in 1990, not 2002. Where they got 2002 is beyond me. Maybe they just smacked they keypad took whatever number came up.
The last part obviously shows they think this is a legit story and not just a storyline in WWE. This isn't the first time a "mainstream news website" has covered a WWE storyline and a legit news bit, though.
Like I said, bad things happen when news outlets cover wrestling.
