I just want to weigh in on WWE changing up their Money in the Bank event. Now, instead of just being a match at WrestleMania, it is it's own PPV, which if you ask me is a bad move. I understand how at first glance it may seem like a good idea, but when I started to think about it, it's not.
For starters, it takes away a WrestleMania spot for 6-8 superstars. This match gave a WrestleMania spot to the guys who should be on the card, but couldn't get singles matches. I really hope they do replace Money in the Bank with another match that features a large number of superstars like a Battle Royal or something those lines.
Now, the Money in the Bank PPV would feature all qualifying matches for the undercard, main evented by the MITB match. Now, think about this, everyone in the main event will be double-booked. And not in two regular matches, one regular match and one ladder match, which are supposed to be extreme. So one of two things happen, the udnercard is crappy and the MITB match end up being good and extreme and all that, or the undercard features good matches and MITB ends up being crappy. The bottom line is double-booking isn't good. And if you ask me, that was one of the biggest flaws in tournament-style events.
I'm not as pissed off as some people about it being removed from WrestleMania, but taking it off the card and making it it's own event seems to have more cons than pros.
