SummerSlam 2011 Predictions and Thoughts

Posted by Joe on August 14, 2011 at 1:25 PM

WWE treats SummerSlam like their biggest PPV behind WrestleMania.  They go all-out in LA with a pre-Party, Axxess events, the whole 9 yards, but the fans see it differently.  WWE began to really brand SummerSlam as a big deal about three years ago (when they started holding it at the Staples Center), but since then we have yet to see an entire show that really blew everyone away.  The main events were always great (Undertaker/Edge HIAC, Punk/Hardy Ladder Match) but the show as ...

Royal Rumble: Afterward Thoughts

Posted by Nick on January 31, 2011 at 8:00 PM

This year's Royal Rumble was amazing and full of suprises.  Last night at the twenty-fourth annual Royal Rumble I couldn't believe some of the few surprise entrants in the forty man battle royal.  This included Diesel and Booker T, but I was surprised at what happened to them in the match.  Booker T did not even last until the next entrant after him came into the match.  He was eliminated by the new Nexus just when he was about to hit his ...

The biggest match of the year is only a few hours away, so Nick and myself are busy covering the event and posting our respective prediction blogs.

I posted an article on Bleacher Repot yesterday reporting that Booker T and Kevin Nash are both booker for the Rumble and I posted a special feature on WrestleSlam called "

? Everyone is always excited for the Royal Rumble, and this year it should be even better.? WWE changed the thirty man battle royal to a forty man battle royal.? This gives more WWE Superstars the chance to earn a title opportunity at WrestleMania.? The Royal Rumble pay-per-view also is the start to the Road to WrestleMania every year.? This is the twenty-fourth annual Royal Rumble and it is taking place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

? T...

Night of Champions Predictions

Posted by Joe on September 19, 2010 at 7:07 PM

Now, I'm short on time here, the PPV starts in an hour, so I really can't give long descriptions for each match, but I will quickly run down the list the matches and predict who will win.

First is the Divas Championship and Womens Championship Unification Match.  I am going with Melina for this one.  LayCool has been slowly breaking up and having McCool loose on behalf of LayCool will add to that tension between Michelle and Layla, so I am going with Melina here.

SummerSlam Reaction

Posted by Joe on August 16, 2010 at 11:25 PM

The first match we had was Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston for theIntercontinental Championship.  I have to say, I wasn't really excitedabout this match to begin with.  It's a match that has been on Smackdown!a few times, so why should I get excited for it?  The match was going onand it was fine, nothing special, it was pretty much the same as the previoustimes we've seen this match.  The match ended when The Nexus interferredand beat up Dolph and Kofi...

SummerSlam 2010

Posted by Joe on August 14, 2010 at 11:58 PM

I'm back with my pay-per-view blogs, this one of course for SummerSlam 2010 which is taking place on August 15, 2010.

The first match we have is Team Raw vs. The Nexus.  I am going to say Nexus wins this after John Cena turns on Team Raw.  I do think Cena will be the one to be revealed as the leader of Nexus, maybe it will be Jericho, but my pick is Cena.  As for the mystery member of Team Raw, I am going to say it will be either The Miz or Evan Bourne....

Over the Limit Predictions

Posted by Joe on May 23, 2010 at 7:17 PM

So, finally, after quite some time, I am back with my PPV blogs.

Tonight is WWE's first Over the Limit PPV, and I have to say, the card looks pretty good.  Not a great card, but good, a nice solid card.

First we have Ted DiBiase vs. R-Truth.  I like this little feud they have going on with these two.  It's a nice way to kick off Ted DiBiase's new gimmick as the "Million Dollar Man", like his father.  My guess is that R-Truth s just being...

Elimination Chamber

Posted by Joe on February 21, 2010 at 3:21 PM

So, like I do for every PPV, I am writing my predictions here, butit seems like something is missing from this PPV.  Then I realized what was missing, the whole freakin undercard.  They have 4 matches for a 3 hour PPV?  They had more matches for the Royal Rumble the main event ofthat was the Royal Rumble which took 50 minutes.  Figure both Chambers combined will take up one hour, then the divas match which they shouldgive no more than 10 minutes to, then the IC title match...

Royal Rumble 2010

Posted by Joe on January 31, 2010 at 5:55 PM

First let me say, this should be a good night.  The Rumble match never fails to impress, and then we have Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio, which I feel can be the match of the year.  So, lets get into my predictions.

First we have Michelle McCool vs. Mickie James for the Women's Title.  Now, this "Piggy James" storyline is just stupid, and seeing Mickie James win here, would most likely usher in the end of that storyline, so not only do I want to see James win, I ...
